More Baseball!

I spent some time this morning creating some cards for Operation Write Home for the masculine challenge-- I ended up making a dozen of this design. I LOVE this new embossing folder.  It is made by Darice.  I knew I had to have it as I am trying to focus on making some more masculine cards.  I tried to keep this very simple and only used some grosgrain ribbon to keep things simple.  I hope to find some more time to create some more cards for my box :)  It will be due before I know it!  I think I will move on to basketball, football and soccer--hopefully I can work to fill up my box!

Carri is having an awesome challenge over at her blog and it's all about embossing!  So I definitely thought I'd link up with her!  Thanks Carri :)

FWF!

It's finally Friday!  Thank goodness.  It's been a long week that's for sure.  Hoping that the weather warms up and the sun comes out to play!  Here is my card for the Unity Stamp Company friends with flair.  It happens every Friday... as if Friday isn't great enough... who knew it could also be a great excuse to use your Unity Stamps. If you've not stopped over lately you should this weekend they are having an awesome sale!! Check it out!

Cute Character!

It's time for another Midweek Throw Down over at OWH and the challenge is to create a card using a "cute character."  I think my Dorothy Moose from Riley and Company is kinda cute :)  I wish I knew how to use digis but alas I do enjoy putting the rubber to the road so to speak so I've bi-passed learning how to create with digis.  I do need to spend WAY more time coloring with my Copics-- yikes I am quite rusty.  And yowza me and my embossing powder are not getting along!  But alas I know this will definitely make someone smile!  So off to my OWH box it goes :)

Happy New Baby!

A friend just had a baby boy last night and of course I had to make a card.  I knew that I wanted to use my Unity stamps... but I just wasn't sure which ones I wanted to use.  I decided to create a card with a window for the Unity Challenge and it was to use a window or a door.    I created my own DSP by stamping repeatedly with a stamp-- it didn't turn out quite as great as I had hoped but not too shabby :)

Baseball!

Baseball season is almost upon us... I am already picturing myself hanging out at Target Field ready for a game! Soon...just a few more days.  After all hockey is now officially over for my team it's time to put my focus on baseball :)  I of course have been sadly neglecting my card making but tonight I was able to whip this one up quickly and I think I can make a few of these for my OWH box as well as for the new challenge they have rolling!  OWH has a great new sketch challenge up as well as a challenge for you to start making all sorts of masculine cards-- a not so easy feet if you ask me!  But now that I've got baseball on the brain this card just kinda came together in a jiffy!  Enjoy :)  Oh and that reminds me... what company makes an awesome white ink pad??  My SU! one seems to inky...if that makes any sense at all!!!

Midweek Throw-Down--Color Challenge

Ahhh a little crafting at lunch--love it!  I of course was super excited I had time to create a card for the OWH Midweek Throw Down and of course it was a color challenge-- yikes.  Green and yellow...hmmm I love green...but green and yellow...hmmmm not so much.  But I did toss in a little craft and I'm pretty okay with how it turned out :)  I'm excited to be adding to my OWH stash!  I decided just to leave this with no sentiment and I think it will be a great OWH card.  I am also apparently stuck on this sketch-- heck not even sure where it came from. Oh and the SU! dies...hello I might need to start using something else huh!

Sooooo behind!

Ugh I am so behind with my blogging and that makes me sad.  I am so behind in crafting in general.  Lots and lots happening in my world these days!  Lots of sad too.  My husbands grandmother passed away--she was the sweetest woman I'd met in a long time!  This week has been rough and I'm sure it will be even harder as we all gather to say goodbye to her!  I hope we can all hold on to her wonderful spirit!  She will certainly be missed.  Yikes...typing through tears is not easy!  So I will make this brief.  I made this small note card to say thank you for a wonderful plant my DH received from his work--it's lovely!
