Whoooooo loves you?!?

Yay I had some time to quickly create another card for the final OWH Rebel Challenge from this weekend. The challenge was to use an owl-- so I pulled out my owl punch from SU! and created this card.  I feel like it's missing something....but I just don't know what.  Perhaps it's just fine the way it is!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Here is a fun card I created for OWH.  I love this little bunny!  And the flocking is super fun!  I used one of my cheap punches I found back in December--MS for $4...I love a sweet deal!  Enjoy!  I can't believe it's time to make Spring and Easter cards already for OWH!

Sew Easy...

Okay so I'm still not completely sure that I am in love with this new gadget but I had to have it... my bestie sent me a link with an amazing project on it made with the Sew Easy...well my little card looks nothing like that!  However, the Sew Easy is kinda fun to play with.  I picked up a couple of extra heads for this tool this that punch different designs--so I will have to take those for a spin one of these days.

I decided to link this card Tacky Tuesday Challenge on Facebook.  The challenge was to use a frog cut and to inclue the word "frog or toad."  So I did just that :)  LOVE this frog cut and the eyes crack me up!  Enjoy :)

Super Bird!!!

One of my favorite things about Sunday is checking out the fun challenges over at Birthday Sundaes.  I am delighted to be one of the Guest Designers highlighted on their blog today.  They have a wonderfully talented Design Team so I was tickled to be able to share on their blog!  I do hope you enjoy my card! I was looking for something super fun so I decided to create "Super Bird."  The Three Birds on Parade cartridge is one of my all time favorites!  Love it soooo much!

Yee Haw!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  I hope you enjoy the card I have created for today-- can you believe it no twine was cut for this card!  Shocking right?!?! :)  I am entering this into the challenge at Cricut 360 and the challenge this week is the "Old West."  The Old West...hmmmm this was super tough for me.  I actually had to go out and purchase a sheet of paper that had any sort of a western theme to it---I knew somewhere in my stash I had something but I didn't have time to "dig."

I am still loving this cartridge-- I don't even like birds...but there are so many hilarious birds on this cartridge I just can't get over it!  I hope you all have a great Sunday!  See you tomorrow.

Bug Me Anytime!

Good Morning friends!  It's Monday again....crazy I know...where oh where did the weekend go?  I can't believe how quickly it was here and then gone again.  But because it's Monday that means it's time for another Challenge with my friends over at FCCB.  The challenge we are having this week is to get buggy!!  We hope that you will join in the fun.  We ask that your project contains atleast one cut from your Cricut and for this challenge that it has a bug on it :)  So pull out all of your cartridges and find a bug and join us!!

For my card I again used my Campin' Critters cartridge--sooo many fun cuts!  I really am enjoying this cartridge.  I hope you like my card.  I can't believe I didn't include any twine... I did include a pun so that should make up for the lack of twine :)   Sorry about the weird photo and the crazy shadows--no idea what I did wrong.  Perhaps I had my camera settings off...sorry!!  Hope you like it anyway!

Vroom Vroom

Ahhhhh summer is over for me...work has picked up and things will be super busy for the next 3 weeks!  I am looking forward to it but I will miss having down time to craft!  But I'm sure I will have to sneak some time in there somewhere...I will need to or I might go crazy :)  And believe me no one will want Crazy Sarah.

I was checking up on some of my bloggin' faves and I see there is a fun challenge at Cricut 360.  The challenge they have presented this week is transportation.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do so I pulled out my Gypsy and decided to use Chore Chart again-- love this chart! I'm still waiting to find a Walmart that have these carts for $15-- guess I'm not one of the lucky ones!  But anyway--I used this card along with some fun arrowed paper from American Crafts to whip this baby up.  And the twine...yep had to use some twine.  The Twinery has released 3 new colors and they go on sale tomorrow-- I will soooo be ordering :)

Hay...Neigh-bor!

Ahhh the joys of a pun!  Nothing says Sarah quite like a pun and I am sure glad there are tons of stamp creators out there that love the pun as well (well perhaps I could limit my collection of pun stamps...but what's the fun in that?)

I have created this card for the M.A.G Challenge and it was to use page 59 from the Create A Critter cartridge-- I am afraid my CAC was crying a bit as I had used it ALL the time just weeks ago and for some reason it has not been my go to cartridge--I've really been "trying" to use all of my cartridges and not just my faves!  I think I've been doing a fine job :)

So I hope you enjoy my card.  The DSP I believe is from Reminisce--I need to be way better at remembering my paper-- I only say that because I'm the annoying person who always falls in love with paper on someone's blog and then asks where it's from, etc.  Hmmm sure glad no-one has been doing that asking of me--guess I better watch it :)

ICE CREAM!!!

It's time for another challenge with the lovely ladies at Fantabulous Cricut!  This week we are screaming for ice cream!  We would love to see you make a project with a cool treat on it!  Just a reminder we'd love to see your creations--so link up those cool projects!!!

My ice cream is from the Nifty Fifties cartridge---just the thing for a warm icky day a nice milk shake.  I did cut off the straw from this cut as I just couldn't get it to look right.  I had the paper in my stash and that became the base for my color selection-- apparently I am obsessed with twine and polka dots.

You're The Cats Meow!

Ahhhh yet another punny card!  Love it.  Of course you can see I "had" to use my twine again...one of these days I promise I am gonna break down and order some more colors.  So tell me friends--where do you order your twine from??  Only tell me if you love the quality and colors please :)

I created this card for some friends that we stayed with in the Chicago area and we had a blast spending a few days with them and I miss them soooo much already!  I wish we were closer.  They have a crazy cat-dog...a cat-dog because he's a cat but I swear he acts more like a dog!  But he's gray therefore the model for this card!  The cat was cut from a lite cartridge called "Chore Chart"--love it!!  I will likely never use the chart but the other cuts are awesome!  I used my good ole flock on this card-- I tried a new brand of flock and I am quite impressed--but it was on clearance at M's and from Martha so I'm guessing it will no longer be available.  Hope you enjoy!

Slooooooow Down Speed Racer....

This card design kept me up alllll night last night.  My bestie just recently moved to Kansas and yesterday she was pulled over for speeding...and I'm sure in her fabulous fashion managed to talk her way into getting only a warning versus a ticket!  But I really love how this card turned out.  I wasn't sure about creating the shape but I think it turned out cute.  This was one of the very few cuts I have made with this cartridge and I think it has a lot of fun cuts!  I might have to spend some more time with it!  I have also decided I must purchase some more twine...I'm getting tired of using the yellow, black and red that I have.  I do fear however if I buy some it will appear on each and every single one of my cards :)  Well, I hope you all have a fabulous evening!

Be sure to check back this weekend on my blog and as well and at Operation Write Home  They have some fun planned for this weekend and I will be playing along with them and offering some fun blog candy :)  Can't wait to see you all this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a little behind in posting but I did create this card for a challenge I found over at Operation Write Home my box to be sent off is slowly starting to grow :)  I really liked this challenge and I encourage you if you've not stopped to check out what OWH is you really should! But only if you want to of course--no pressure.

I do love this little tree cut from Create-A-Critter and the sentiment is from a set of My Pink Stamper stamps and it's heat embossed but it didn't show up in the picture at all.  Hope you enjoy it!

Apple of My Eye!

It's Monday and that means it's time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!  Visit the FCCB Blog! to check out Challenge #59!  Today's challenge is a "Teacher Feature" and we are hoping you will make a project for that special teach with the color red on it!  Don't forget to use atleast one cricut cut in your submitted project!

Ahhh I feel like I have been away from the crafting world for way tooo long!  It's been days since I've picked up some ink and paper.  Work has been insane and for the next few weeks I'm sure it will continue to be so.  For this project I used the Wrap It Up cartridge--I really enjoy this cartridge and I hope to find some more time to play with it.  I also used some lined paper I had in my stash-- I wish I could remember who it is from...I remember when I purchased it I picked up some paper that had clothes on a line with it-- but I can't recall the brand!  I also used my SU spiral punch...I really have been loving that punch lately.  I am working on using it to cover a jouranal--once I'm done I'll post it.

I hope you enjoy my project today!  Don't forget we'd love to have you join our challenge this week :)

Side Steppin' Skunk

Today the new tutorial at  SCS  was how to create a side-step card.  So I decided to try my hand at this-- I'd don't a step type card before but never one in which the steps were off to the side.  I admit I kinda like it.  I of course had to include a little critter from my favorite cartridge.  I will be sending this little cutie off to my friend Jackie--I hope she likes it....I'm guessing she'll probably see it on here before it makes it to her in the mail.

I used some random cardstock I had lying around the pink base is some retired fushia from SU! and the green was a random strip--I used one of my favorite punches for the grass--gotta love Martha.  And the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.  I am pleased to report my bestie is slowing becoming addicted to MPS!  Love it!  I also had to bling out my skunk...she's even holding a bling flower with matching earrings!!  I do feel like a little something is missing on the top part of the tall side but nothing in my stash seemed to fit and I thought if I cut out clouds that would be overkill!

Still Thinking Spring!

I am still thinking Spring...the weather here is turning out to be quite nice!  I hope it continues.  So seeing that the weather is so nice and I HAD to pull out my new stamps that I picked up from Peachy Keen this card was what I came up with.  I had made the comment that I needed to really begin to challenge myself and to try some new things-- so I did for this card.  I tried my hand using my Peachy Keen Stamps-- love these little faces!  And the ribbon techinique I used is also new for me--and I kinda like how it looks-- it's fun and easy and makes the card pop.  I am adding my card to the fun challenge I found at Scrapbookaholic By Abby and the challenge was to create anything Springy!  And I think this little chickie screams spring :)

The deets:

Dino-Mite!

I was surfing the internet and came across this awesome challenge blog: Challenge By The Page.  Wow what a great way to host a challenge.  I love this idea and really need to spend some more using all of the pages within my cartridges-- not just my favorites.  I really think this challenge will help me step out of my crafting comfort zone!  I do know my style is pretty fun loving and quirky-- perhaps the more challenges I do the more I will challenge myself ;)  haha feel free to <insert an eye roll> here :) Yes, a challenge is meant to challenge me!  I get it.

I did of course have no problem using my Create A Critter cartridge and the challenge was to use a cut from page 50 of this cartridge.  So I did-- I will admit this is the first dinosaur I have cut! The paper is from an AMAZING find I found at Marshalls--who would have thought to look for paper there--it was a kit with a bunch of cardstock, ribbob, buttons and a big set of thickers-- for $1.99--what a steal!  I did it as a long card and I think I was quite clever in stamping my sentiment a few times in an open space on the dsp!

Happy Birthday! FCCB Challenge Me Monday!

Happy Birthday!  Lots of birthdays are happening in the month of March.  The challenge for this week at FCCB Challenge is "Happy Birthday"-- create a birthday card or project!

I created this cutie for the FCCB challege and I really love how it turned out.  I will be giving this birthday card to my friend Christina who will be celebrating her birthday this week!  I love, love, love the cartridge I used for this--Birthday Bash!  This little bird on the banner is cute!  I really like how easily this cartridge layers!  The background paper again is from my stash-- darn me for not thinking when I cut it all into 6x6 pieces--opps!

Recipe
Cricut Cartridge: Birthday Bash
Paper: SU! for all solids, DSP--don't know :(
Other stuff: My Pink Stamper sentiment, googlie eyes and blue puff
