I'm sooooo glad I had a few minutes to put together a card for the Chick Challenge with Ippity. As you all know I am currently obsessed with all things Unity so of course I had to pull out this stamp set...ummmm hello Ippity is now available right on the Unity sight...love! This set with the flowers is so great so I inked that baby up and colored it with some Copics. I couldn't resist putting a little glitter on this baby! It's an odd size so I hadn't planned on adding it to OWH collection anyway! So yay glitter!
Ippity by Unity stamps: Friends is from Time with Wine and Friends
So a friend had asked me to help her make a card...well she had planned to make the card but sometimes I can't stop when I start something so I just did the whole thing :) It was for a police chief who is retiring! I think it turned out pretty fun! He doesn't have much hair so the whole head of gray hair made this card pretty funny too! Hope you enjoy it! If you don't have this cartridge I HIGHLY recommend it! I will be linking this up for the Anything Goes Challenge at My Craft Spot. Hope you like it! I'm just not ready to start on my Valentine's yet! Maybe tonight?! :)
Thank goodness it's Friday. Again...another super long week-yikes. Work has been nuts-- I think the snow and cold weather are finally getting to people. But it's Friday! And of course that means it's time for another Friends with Flair challenge with the awesome people at Unity. I did have to of course use another sketch challenge from OWH and I think it turned out pretty well :)
Working on my OWH cards! I decided to use some of the Sketch Challenges and here is one that I came up with :) I think I am in love with using tulle as ribbon-- cut a small strip and tied that baby onto the card! Unity--Apple Cheddar Soup-- the gnome is stinkin' adorable!
Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone! Still not ready for Monday but hey...it's here I better get ready. But Monday does mean it's time for another challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut this weeks challenge is #95...holy smokes sooo many awesome challenges! This week we are hoping you can "Label It" by creating a project using a label shape or a scalloped shape! Soooo super fun! You know you wanna join us! Pull out your Cricut and get crafting!
Cricut: Create-A-Critter and Elegant Edges
Paper: from my stash
Twine: The Twinery
Heart-- I think was a SU! punch...but was lying on my desk so not sure!
Here is a fun card I created for OWH. I love this little bunny! And the flocking is super fun! I used one of my cheap punches I found back in December--MS for $4...I love a sweet deal! Enjoy! I can't believe it's time to make Spring and Easter cards already for OWH!
Happy Friday! It's Friday...and you all know that the means! It's Unity Friends with Flair! So in love with Unity right now :) I had wanted to participate in the OWH Midweek Throw Down but darn it I used glitter-- it just called my name so I used it! Oops! Guess I will be making some more of these cards those-- love this quote. I did also make 12 more cards for my OWH stack so things are looking okay for my 100 cards--which I hope to get done soon! I do know once I have that done I might then just keep track of how many I do versus a count like this!
Sentiment Unity Stamp Company: Quote Bundle these stamps are HUGE! Love
Why on earth are the simple cards the hardest to make? I love this sketch but I just could not create a card that looked decent. Ugh... if I cut out 3 hearts I bet I cut out 30 until I was satisfied with the color-- and well I am still not really sure I like the polka dot hearts. But regardless I am linking this up with the Chick Challenge #13. If you don't have an Ippity stamps-- well you need some :)
It's finally Friday! Whooot! I swear it was the longest week ever... well or one of the longest that I can remember in a long time. Everything just seemed to drag on and on and work was sooooo busy! Oy! But seriously that's enough complaining! This blog is supposed to be awesome not dreadful! I hope you're excited because it's Friday...and Friday means Friends With Flair at Unity. Soooo many amazing things are happening at Unity right now I just wanna pass out from all the fun they are having! A design team call will be coming soon... and I soooooooooooo would love to be part of their amazing time...haha but me and about 1 million other talented crafters have that same dream :)
It's time again for another midweek throw-down with the lovely and talented crafters over at OWH. The challenge this week is to make a card with flowers-- so I did just that. The picture makes the colors look a little off but in real life they match! Or perhaps it's way past my bedtime and my eyes aren't working so well.
Here is another card I just had to make! I picked up this paper for the purpose of making these cards. And I must admit I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I used my Tim Holtz distress ink to ink around the edges of the clock/timer paper and it looks pretty cool. The paper is from Scrappin' Sports and More-- I picked it up at my LSS. They have a lot of fun papers in their collection! I will be duplicating this card to send off in my OWH box!!
Happy Monday Everyone! Hope this posts finds you well and having a great day. It was a long weekend here filled with work but I managed to find a little time to craft. I hope you are excited for another challenge with my friends at Fantabulous Cricut. This week we are having some "Man Time." So I can't wait to see you man themed projects! Don't forget to add a cricut cut!!
Did you see that I also used some amazing paper! It's from a kit from Boys Rule Kits they are our rockin' sponsor this week at FCCB!
Prepare to be shocked and you check out my projects today...this summer will be almost three years since we were in Chicago for a Twins game. It was a fabulous time and we had a blast! Hope you enjoy my scrapbook page-- yep go easy on me... I do NOT scrap at all so this is a rare project :) Haha!
It is time for another Ippity Chick Challenge. Love the challenge this week! Soooo fun! I love my new Ippity set and I can't wait to find out more about the changes that are happening in the Ippity/Unity world :) I love that I can now purchase them right from Unity-- NOT that my Unity gal didn't rock my socks off...perhaps she will remain my chick-- guess I will have to do some research!
Ah I kinda missed Wednesday and it being midweek but decided to take some time this morning to make a couple of cards before heading to work. I used some new goodies I received for Christmas and that was the midweek throw-down challenge at OWH
I hope you like what I did! I love these two stamp sets and I pulled out some of my new paper for this project-- I believe that this is from Doodlebug design! Yay for remembering my brand of paper!
Hope you enjoy!
Stamps: Unity-- hello cute huh :) from the Dec. KOTM and the hearts are from an Itty Bitty
It was time again to play with another Unity challenge :) I of course had to order the KOTM...love, love, love it! The December kit is great-- I am sure you will see a TON of cards made with this kit in the upcoming days. But I had to join in the Unity KOTM sketch challenge for January-- ummm hello! Love this sketch. I did certainly take some liberties with it...but hey that's okay! Enjoy!
Oh what a year... I can't believe I've had a blog for almost a year...that's crazy talk! I hope that all of you found a special way to ring in the new year! I was at a lovely wedding and had a great time the last few days with my family! We had a great time playing cards and having a lot of laughs. I did miss my stamps and crafts a little though! But I figure it was time to start a New Years resolution-- I have a few personal ones but I figured I better stick with a crafting one too! I have resolved to create 100 cards for OWH and by create I mean, create, stamp with information, stuff properly in envelopes and mail to my shipper all before I can spend any more money on craft items! Holy wow... I hope I can do this! But OWH is way more important to get cards to than new stamps to me :) Wish me luck!
So what better way to stick to my goal than to do a couple of challenges. I found the fabulous sketch at OWH Sketch Challenge #102 and also there is a facebook challenge for Unity. I will be linking up my card on their facebook page if I can figure out how :) The stamp I am using is from Unity and their Itty Bitty Collection-- you can find it here.
