Tea-rific!!!

Hey there!  I am so excited to have so many new followers joining me!  If you are here for the FCCB Spring Fling click here!

Check out my "tea-rific" card I made for the challenge over at Stamping 411 LOVE the challenges those ladies have!  They are soooooo talented I love it!  Starting this week the challenges at 411 need to use all SU! products... so I had to do a little digging for this one but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  I do however, think I "need" a few more SU! goodies to play with these ladies :)  I hope you enjoy my card!  I love this set-- I remember seeing it in the catalog when it first debuted...and while I must confess today is the first it saw ink I think this set and I will be friends!  I did leave a little tag on the end of the punch-- a tip I picked up from the lovely and talented Diana Gibbs-- I wanna be her when I grow up!

The deets!
Paper: All SU, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip and some retired DSP
Stamp: Morning Cup
Other: Inks, brad, jewelry tag punch and scallop border punch

Cute as a Button!

Ahhhh I can't believe it is Tuesday already--where oh where does the weekend go??  I'm really looking forward to the next couple of days-- I have Thursday and Friday off from work and we're headed to the St. Paul for so good ole fun!  We will be spending time with some great friends from here in St. Cloud but also will be meeting up with some friends from ND-- I am really looking forward to it.

On Sunday I ran into J's to pick up a couple of things and walked out with a new cute stamp set.  That set is where my "cute as a button" sentiment is from.  I had some paper in my stash as well-- there was a sheet with buttons already on it but I think that would have been overkill so I used the paper that had some stiches on it and I'm okay with how it turned out.

The sketch I used from this card is from Stamping 411 and I love, love, love the sketch challenges these ladies put out-- they rock!  If you've not checked them out I highly recommend that you do!

Recipe
Paper: SU! for solid and DSP is from my stash that I cut down to 6x6 from 12 :(
Stamp: from J's
Buttons: from my stash

Another Stamping 411 Challenge

Oh dear...another daisy card-- I know, I know...but it's sooo cute!  I just couldn't resist playing along with the lovely ladies at Stamping 411.  I am sure many of you are thinking...oh boy here she goes again...another challenge!  Yep, I know but I love 'em they are so fun.

I knew for this challenge I had to use my sizzix daisy die-- also available from SU! I believe.  Most of my paper is from SU! the polka dotted paper is from my stash--so lord only knows what brand it is etc.  And I am pleased to report I am using more of my stash bit by bit!  I used a scrap of SU! Really Rust to make the brad with my I-top which serves as the center portion of my daisy.  The three brads are yet another piece of my stash-- I was quite pleased with how well they matched my card.

Recipe
Die: Sizzix Daisies #2 die
Paper: Solid color SU, Old Olive, Really Rust, Whisper White
Unknown designer paper
Brads: The BIG one I made it!! Whoohooo! little ones no clue

A whole lot of green!

I love green... it's pretty much my favorite color and this card looks like my craft room blew up and green was the only color I could find.  I also decided of course it was time to hang out with the lovely ladies over at Stamping 411 to participate in another one of their fabulous challenges-- I just LOVE the challenges these ladies present.  I used a vast array of supplies and unfortunately a lot of what I used is stuff I have had for years and I am not sure of the company :(  I apologize for this but I hope you still enjoy my card!  Thanks for stopping by!

I love daisies!!!

I suppose it's a little too early to be making cards for Mother's Day but I decided that for another challenge with the lovely ladies at http://stamping411.blogspot.com/ I would create a Mother's Day card using their sketch challenge for the week.  I had to have a new toy to play with so I went out and picked up the Cuttlebug quilling dies-- my oh my soooo cute and fun to play with.  I did have a 50% off coupon so that made the purchase even more worthwhile.   It didn't take long at all to put the card together.  I used some of my neglected nestabilities dies and am pleased with how this card turned out.  Thanks for checking it out!

Recipe
Paper: SU! paper
Die: Cuttlebug Quilling Die: Daisy, Nestabilities label 1 I think
Ink: Old Olive-SU!
Punch: SU! modern label punch
Ribbon: unknown--I think Target

Whooooooo's Up for Another Challenge?!?

Tonight I decided to take some time to play with the lovely ladies over at http://stamping411.blogspot.com/ and I tried my hand at the Saturday Sketch Challenge.  I must admit these challenges are addicting and I soooo look forward to them each and every week.  I pulled out some old SU! designer paper that I am sure has long since been retired and paired it up with some matching cardstock.

If you look closely you will see instead of a bow I created a brad... I pulled out and dusted off my I-top and wow... it's so fun and so easy to use.  So I must ask myself--Self...why on earth don't you use this tool more often!?!?!?   I also pieced together the owl which is a punch from SU!-- I tried very hard not to make my owl friend look too terribly cross eyed.

Recipe:
Paper: All from SU!
Punch: Owl from SU!
Ribbon: Again SU!
Other stuff: used the Itop!

Just Chicken In

Hi there just "chicken" in....hilarious if you ask me.  Today I stopped at a new stamp store I'd never been to before and picked up some yellow flocking and this cute little chicken stamp along with a couple of other goodies I most certainly probably didn't need--but spent less than $20 so I was quite pleased with myself.  I have been dying to use my new MPS Even More Punnylicious set but couldn't find the right chicken to use, but I think this one shall have to do!

I also stopped by the lovely and talented ladies at http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ and decided to again play with the great sketch they have posted for their Saturday Sketch Challenge.

Valentine's Day Gumball Machine: Another Saturday Sketch Challenge!

Ahhhhhh so I have some amazing news I was selected to be part of the Stamping 411 Stampers Showcase! Whoot!  I was so delighted to see that I received this super sweet honor.   I decided to again play with the Operators at http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ for the Saturday Sketch Challenge #186.  I didn't use my Create-A-Critter Cartridge today!

Today for my card all of the cardstock including the DSP is from Stampin' Up.  The adorable gumball machine rubber stamp is from Amuse.  I actually colored the gumball machine using a red sharpie marker, a silver no name glitter pen I had in one of my drawers and the little heart is a small stick on rhinestone that I also colored with the same red sharpie.  The button was in my stash from who knows where and I threaded the button with a small red heart brad.  I also used a white ink pad to ink the edges of all pieces of the cardstock--I'm still not sure I love the way that looks with the white!

I hope you enjoy tonight's card!
