A whole week...

Yikes!  I can't believe it's been a whole week since I have posted!  That's way tooo long to have gone without crafting!  But I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I have started worked on some gift sets to give for the Holidays and these cards are the first in a series of randomness that I am working-- I am thinking 5 cards per set...so these will be the sympathy cards for each set.  What do you think?  Sorry the picture is crummy!  But you get the idea :)

Back to Thanksgiving...

So yesterday I posted a Valentine's Day card and have a couple more for later posts...but today during lunch I whipped up these cute wrapped candy bars for my staff to let them know how thankful I am for them :)   These are super easy to make...used a full size kit-kat, a 6x6 piece of DSP and some scor-tape and a crimper!  I can't remember where the idea for this came from...only because it's so easy and I didn't book mark it when I found it years ago!  Enjoy!

Love every inch...

Oh dear...my Cricut is taking a bit of a vacation so I am working on stamping the old fashioned way :) hehe!  I received a new Itty Bitty from my friends at Unity!  It's pretty cute.  I had to stare at this set for quite some time before this card came to me :)

I picked up a new paper stack from Hobby Lobby on Friday with the intention of making Valentine's Day/Love themed cards for the fabulous Operation Write Home organization.  If you are looking for a great way to support the troops from your own craft room I highly recommend you stop by their blog.  OWH also does an amazing job with providing sketch challenges and other great ways to inspire your creativity!

Check out OWH Stars and Stripes Sketch Challenge #96 and check out the beautiful work of others!

Thanksgiving!

Ummmm can someone please tell me where on earth the first couple of weeks in November went?!?!  I can't believe November is almost over and Thanksgiving is almost upon us :)  I have so much to be thankful for this year and every year!  I just wished I'd remember to be more thankful each and every day :)  But alas it is time for Thanksgiving cards to be sent!  I finished up a bunch of them and decided that I of course had to show you them!  I promise this is likely the last time this year you will see this same stamp---but seriously it's so stinkin' cute I just can bear to put it away just yet!  So maybe one more before Thanksgiving is actually upon us!

Thank you for being great blog friends :) Cheesy yep... but oh well!

It's Fall and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Fall project that includes Brown, Orange and Red – along with at least one Cricut cut.

If you've come from visiting Sabrina you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl start here.

Make sure to checkout each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "HarvestBlessings" project at FCCB!

My tag!  Created using paper from a Recollections stack-- love this stack!  Solid paper is from SU!
The cricut cut is from the Celebrate with Flourish cart--I did cut off a piece of it because it just didn't look right!  The sentiment is from DeNami Designs--love their little chickie stamps :)  And this tag is perfect to hang over a big bag of chocolate!!!

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Harvest Blessings project!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and be sure to use the colors Brown, Orange and Red as well!

Your next stop is Sherrie!  Go and see what she has in store for you today. And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

I scream...you scream....

I scream...you scream... (think if I scream loud enough Melanie and Tammy will hear me screaming to be on their DT?)  Do you ever have one of those days.... I think I am having one of those weeks-- and to top it all off I think I am getting sick again...feels like a sinus infection...but you're not here to listen to me whine :) I decided I simply had to join in on the Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms the challenge is to create a 3D project and add either twine or a button!  Well I decided to add both :)  I also hope you are getting geared up to see Scrappy Moms amazing guest designer for the month of November... she's really fab...oh wait..it's me :) hehe! Whoa...that's a whole lot of shameless plugs for myself!
So enough rambling and onto my project.  I used the Sweet Treats cartridge to cut this little box out and I kinda love how it turned out-- super easy to put together and I had orginally cut cones for both sides but decided to add a sentiment to one side by itself versus tying a tag on with twine...hope you like it :)

The Deets:
Box and cone cut from Sweet Treats cricut cartridge
Ink SU!
Houndstooth embossing folder
Sentiment: Scrappy Moms Stamps-Kid Incorporated
Button--who knows :)

Whoa...a Christmas card...yikes

Okay, okay, okay I know it's way toooooo early for a Christmas card but I had to try a new technique. I was checking out some great blogs the other day and I stopped by Larelyn's blog and she shared a new technique that she tried by using something she found at Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Yikes I just simply had to try this so I took a short drive...well about 90 miles...but hey it was for a crafting emergency!  I stopped at a Scrap Store and picked up some awesome glitter and some Elizabeth Craft Designs stickers.  I really, really, really, wanted some flowers but I think so did everyone else in MN :)  So I picked up a some snowmen heads!  hehe!  Thanks Larelyn for the great idea :)

Go easy...

Okay friends...be polite!  I just picked up a few Copic markers the other day and I tried them out on this image.  It was a little small to do any blending and such for this beginner so I tried it and think I have a looooooooooot of practice that I need to start doing :)

I am linking up this card with my friends over at Unity for Fridays with Flair...oh dear me.  Also  you might want to stop at their store to pick up some stamps...they are having some AWESOME sales!  Wow...that's about all I can say :)

Sew Easy...

Okay so I'm still not completely sure that I am in love with this new gadget but I had to have it... my bestie sent me a link with an amazing project on it made with the Sew Easy...well my little card looks nothing like that!  However, the Sew Easy is kinda fun to play with.  I picked up a couple of extra heads for this tool this that punch different designs--so I will have to take those for a spin one of these days.

I decided to link this card Tacky Tuesday Challenge on Facebook.  The challenge was to use a frog cut and to inclue the word "frog or toad."  So I did just that :)  LOVE this frog cut and the eyes crack me up!  Enjoy :)
