Fishing You Were Here

Oh my I was hoping the snow would miss us...well it did not :(  Oh well!  I do live in MN I should probably be used to the weather by now.  So I did have a little time tonight to create this card to add to my Operation Write Home stash.  I decided to link it up with a few challenges out there as well there so I hope you enjoy my card. I like the colors I selected and think this will be a great missing you card for OWH!

Chick Challenge #19

Well...so far no snow yet here in MN...but they are predicting lots and lots.  I am hoping the snow bypasses us completely!  But we shall see.  I did find some time however to do some stamping.  Hello LOVE this new stamp from the Ippity collection from Unity.  And I knew it would be the perfect stamp to use for my card for the sketch challenge over with the love chicks at the Chicks challenge with Ippity blog.

The Deets:
Paper: Mostly SU! and DSP I believe is MME
Ribbon: $Tree
Stamp: Unity!!  Ippity Itty Bitty

Happy Monday! Let's Shake!

Good Morning friends!  I hope this Monday is treating you well.  I am not at all looking forward to the snow that is predicted but I had a nice relaxing weekend that will hopefully carry me through the long snowy week!  I would be perfectly okay if the snow decided to miss us here all together--but I doubt that will happen.  The card I have to share with you today is for a customer contest on Pinterest-- I will be emailing it to the amazing Angela from the Amazing Unity Stamp Company!  If you would be so kind as to go in the next couple of days over to Pinterest and like my card!  I'd really appreciate it!

But enough blabbering... this card is a shaker card--I think it turned out super fun.  I had never made one before so will definitely change up a few things when I made another one-- ie. I wouldn't use black glitter again! :)  Enjoy!

This is the card lying down and all the beads are all over!

The Details:
Paper: SU!
Twine: The Twinery
Ribbon: May Arts
Charm: No clue
Embossing Folder: ProvoCraft
Heart cut on cricut--can't remember cartridge!

TGIF!

Yay it's finally Friday!  I am on duty all weekend...but alas it's still Friday!!  I love Fridays because it means the weekend is here...but it also means it's time for Unity's Friends with Flair every Friday you can create a card or comment on all of the other amazing cards that others have posted in order to win Unity stamps--ummmm hello does it get any better than that?!?!  I think not :) Stamping and Free Stamps...hello sign me up!

The card that I made for today was inspired because a friend asked me to make her some good luck cards--so of course I couldn't say no.  As I was doing some checking of my favorite blogs I noticed that the lovely Cathy at Creative Cutter Room is having a challenge.  And the challenge is to create a shaped card...hmmm so my gears were definitely turning at that point.  I've been big into monster cards for a few weeks now and knew it had to be a monster.  The shaped cards on the Mini Monsters cart make these cards super easy to make!! Love that!  I also did some minor surgery and dissection to one of my new Unity stamps--yes I know I took the scalpel to it and I love how it can still all be put together :) This is my new favorite Unity stamp!!!

FCCB Challenge #99: Fancy Trims

I'm sorry if you don't know what Go-Go Juice is... and believe me if you don't that's totally ok!  I have a guilty pleasure...BAD TV.  So I was watching some TLC and there was a program on...and well Go-Go Juice was brought up... oh my oh my!  But anyway it was the inspiration for this card :)

Also I would LOVE for you to create with us at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday!  The challenge this week is to use trim...it can be lace, a border, or any other trim you can think of!  Also I would highly encourage you to turn off your word verification--yikes it has gone to two words and it is super hard to read.  I love leaving comments but hate when I can't read the words :(  Yikes! But enough of my soap box ramblings.  I can't wait for you to pull out your cricut to join us--don't forget we need at least one cut!

A slightly late Valentine :)

So I've been waiting to create this card until my goodies arrived from Jaded Blossom so this is a slightly late Valentine :)  I decided to enter a challenge the challenge at Jaded Blossom in hopes of becoming a Guest Designer for them!  Here's hoping I have a chance :)  Not so sure it's scary...more like super cute! hehe!

I also decided to use the sketch and pick 3 challenge from Cooking with Cricut.  They offered a great sketch and I decided to add brads, stickles and ink for my pick 3!  And of course a cut from my Cricut.  I used the Bump in the Night cartridge--hellooooo awesome cuts!

Paper: SU! solids and HL dsp
Ink: SU and Memento

I love a good challenge!

I decided that I simply couldn't resist doing a card for the Ippity Chicks Challenge and I think I followed their sketch enough :)  I also of course had to work on creating more cards for my OWH stash and decided that I had to create a card that worked with the OWH Midweek Color Challenge.  I used one of my favorite Ippity stamps Now and Always and paper from SU.  I also used some of the new twine from SU! a gift from a friend--Hi JB!  But... I must confess-- I typically love all things SU!...the twine...left me sad and disappointed.  But I have more than enough twine from the Twinery so I shall be ok :)

Finally!

I had been collecting toilet paper rolls in an attempt to make albums...ummm well let me just tell you I don't have any albums to show for all of the rolls I have collected...or had friends collect.  So I was super excited to see a challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge that asked us to try out a project using a toilet paper roll.  So I smushed mine down and created a gift card holder.  I also decided that I would use love as my theme so that fits quite well with the More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday challenge.  And love is in the air at My Sheri Crafts so I added two hearts to my project to enter her challenge as well :)  Hope you enjoy this project!

The Details
Owl Bag and Notepad from Target--inspired the card
Punch: from Michaels--Recollections
Owl: Cricut cut--Hoot n Holler
Adorable face: Peachy Keen Stamps!
Sentiment from K. Andrew Designs

FCCB Challenge! Love is in the Air!

Yowza! It's Monday already.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  It's time again for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!  This week "love is in the air."  I hope you take some time to create a project or card to share with all of us--remember to use a heart!  And of course at least 1 Cricut cut!

As you can see my card is quite simple but you will see that it highlights some stamps from the fabulous Kristal at Getting Cricky with K Andrew.  Kristal has some wonderful stamp sets and she is the amazing sponsor for this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.  I have some other sets from K. Andrew Designs and I think they the are fabulous!  I will add a picture of two of some other cards I've made with her great stamps!

Looks like I need some work with my Pearl Pens :)

Some more examples from K. Andrew Designs Stamps!

Stamp of the Week

If you don't have the Unity Stamp of the Week why on earth NOT?  You totally need it.  Yes, it's a stamp a week...delivered right to your door...sometimes it's even a couple of stamps!  Ummmm so much Unity goodness I just don't know how you can say no...well yes, I do know the many, many reasons you can say no...but spoil yourself!  It's sooo worth it.

Here is a super simple card I created using this week's stamp--the bicycle is super cute!  Just don't forget to ink the edges of the paper AFTER you emboss the sentiment--ugh so messy but still cute!  Hope you like it!
