Whoooooo loves you?!?

Yay I had some time to quickly create another card for the final OWH Rebel Challenge from this weekend. The challenge was to use an owl-- so I pulled out my owl punch from SU! and created this card.  I feel like it's missing something....but I just don't know what.  Perhaps it's just fine the way it is!

I love a good challenge!

I decided that I simply couldn't resist doing a card for the Ippity Chicks Challenge and I think I followed their sketch enough :)  I also of course had to work on creating more cards for my OWH stash and decided that I had to create a card that worked with the OWH Midweek Color Challenge.  I used one of my favorite Ippity stamps Now and Always and paper from SU.  I also used some of the new twine from SU! a gift from a friend--Hi JB!  But... I must confess-- I typically love all things SU!...the twine...left me sad and disappointed.  But I have more than enough twine from the Twinery so I shall be ok :)

New Beginnings and a Color Challenge

Here's a great card for an Anniversary or a Wedding!  I am still in love with the Unity Stamp of the Week.  Mine for this week was just in the mail-- can't wait to ink that baby up.  I am linking this card up for the New Beginnings Challenge at  Unity and also for the color challenge at  Go Fish Challenge Blog

Friday!

Thank goodness it's Friday. Again...another super long week-yikes.  Work has been nuts-- I think the snow and cold weather are finally getting to people.  But it's Friday!  And of course that means it's time for another Friends with Flair challenge with the awesome people at Unity.  I did have to of course use another sketch challenge from OWH and I think it turned out pretty well :)

Butterflies!

Happy Friday!  It's Friday...and you all know that the means!  It's Unity Friends with Flair!  So in love with Unity right now :) I had wanted to participate in the OWH Midweek Throw Down but darn it I used glitter-- it just called my name so I used it!  Oops!  Guess I will be making some more of these cards those-- love this quote.  I did also make 12 more cards for my OWH stack so things are looking okay for my 100 cards--which I hope to get done soon!  I do know once I have that done I might then just keep track of how many I do versus a count like this!

Give Thanks!

I figured it was time to give myself a little break from the Halloween scene and work on some Thanksgiving cards.  I found this adorable stamp at the Stampin' and Scrappin' Expo awhile back and I love it!  It was super easy to color in with my markers and of course I had to add a little glitter to just about everything :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Cricutless!

Hello my bloggy friends!  I hope you're doing well and enjoying the day.  It's soooooo warm here in MN today--at one point I thought I was going to melt right there in my office.  Yuck!  Tonight I finally had some time to do a little creating.  I am soooo far behind on challenges that it makes my heart sad.  But I did stop over at  and visit Emma's Throwback Thursday and her challenge today was to go Cricutless...yikes...that's almost like going nude to me!  Yikes!  But I managed to leave my cricut alone and create a card using "black, green, purple and orange" for this old school cricutless challenge.

I was inspired by the great work or her design team.  But I decided to be quite simple with my card and I used a couple new Halloween stacks from DCWV.  All of the punches that are used were from SU! and the ribbon was just in my stash.  I hope you like it!

Loads of Love...

Love this new stamp!  My super creative, talented and generous friend Jen sent me this cutie!  It arrived in the mail today and I just couldn't resist inking it up.  I again used some watercolor paper and did some watercoloring with my aqua painter.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out.  And you will also notice...no twine was injured in making this card :)  I wish I was a super photographer...that way I could capture the sparkly pen I used on the iron--lots so fun in real life!

Ahhhhh Refreshing....

We had a great relaxing time with some friends a bit ago and we enjoyed lounging at the lake home and tubing in the lake.  Ahhhhh but the sun was a bit rough on me....good thing I put on some sunscreen to avoid being as red as a lobster--though a couple parts of my body didn't appear to enjoy the sunscreen and I was a bit crispy!  This was the card we sent to them to say thank you...the little tag says "thanks so much."  They loved the card :)

I still can't believe I had to have the Campin' Critters cartridge...but I am so in love with it.  It has so many great cuts :)  Yikes...I don't camp but I shall camp vicariously through this cartridge :)  I have decided to enter this to the Cricut 360 challenge for the week-- I love me a good challenge!

Helloooooo Baby!

Now I'm sure all of you are saying "Hellooooo Baby" and have that crazy song stuck in your head and your dreaming about the "Big Bopper."  Or not.... :)  I decided to do another challenge and this was was to use the New Arrival cricut cartridge.  This challenege is over at More Than Favors

A friend had mentioned she needed a baby card so of course I decided I couldn't allow her to pick one up at the store so I made her one instead.  Hmmmm perhaps I will have to start charging her :) Hehe!  JK

I used the New Arrival cartridge to cut out the little onesie.  The pink paper is SU and the designer paper I used is from DCWV one of the many stacks that I have sitting in my craft space.  I used a white gel pen to do some highlighting and I think it turned out pretty cute.  The sentiment is also from SU!  I also used my fisker threading water punch and some random ribbon I had lying around to tie the card together.  I hope you enjoy!

I'm Soooooo Berry Happy!

I am soooo happy with how this card turned out-- I had been worried that I lost my touch with stamping...but I think I've still got it!  Well I've still got room to improve to of course but I think you get what I mean.  So my friend  Jen got me hooked on Unity Stamps-- I blame her for my last few stamp purchases!  Oh dear I know I showed you the super cute tree that I almost had to leg wrestle my friend Sarah for but I was dying to get my hands on this little strawberry.  So it appeared in the mail the other day along with some cutie friends but I had to ink this little one up!!  I am sooooo tickled with how it turned out.  I had been wanting to do something with embossing powder so I used the "Cracked Glass" technique--it's super easy and turned out really cute I think!  There's a great tutorial at Splitcoaststampers

Again I'm still raving over this little strawberry!  I used the sketch from a challenge I found at OWH Stars and Stamps--it's my goal to get some cards in the mail to help them reach 2 million cards!  Check them out if you don't know about their fabulous organization!  I also plan to use this card as an entry for the Unity challenge which was to incorporate food into the card!

Meet My Girlfriend Ethel!

Ahhh meet my good friend Ethel.  She's how I feel when I wake up some mornings!  I most certainly don't sleep in my pearls nor in curlers--but I think you get the picture.  I love the coffee cup she holds in her hand...I feel like her before I have my first cup in the morning.  Ms. Ethel is from Rubber Necker Stamp Company lots of great stamps-- the "Old Character" section of stamps cracks me up.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know my good friend Ethel.  I love her pearls and fuzzy slippers :)

UNITY Addiction...

Oh dear-- so I know I had mentioned I picked up some new stamps at the Stamping and Scrapbooking Expo last weekend...and wowzers I had  heard about Unity Stamps--BUT I had no idea I'd soon become addicted to them.  The people at the Unity booth were so kind and it just made me smile and it was cool to chat with them a little as they are a MN company--which I think is great.  I decided to pull out some of my "grab bag" goodies and this is the card I came up with.

I was dying to get my hands on this little tree and my friend Sarah and I had about 5 grab bags between the 2 of us and she had the tree and I pretty much begged for it...well it wasn't that dramatic but I did score the tree so I was happy :)  This cloud stamp...seriously...LOVE it!!!

Simple Flag

Today there is a challenge over at Frosted Designs and I decided to play along.  My card is quite simple and of course doesn't compare to the lovely work of the design team but I like how it turned out.  I'm sorry I do know it is not an accurate representation of a flag but I took some creative license-- I hope I don't offend anyone.  I was inspired to do this card after seeing tons and tons of cards using punches to make ruffles.  It was super easy and kinda fun!

Mom's The Word!

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend.  The sun was shining here in MN---ahhhh it was so glorious.  The challenge at FCCB is "Mom's the Word!"  Make a project for a special Mother out there!  Please be sure to use the word mom (or mum, mommy, mother, etc.)

I created this card using some new paper I picked up... I just can't say NO to a DCWV stack...they simply call to me all the time and this time unlike the others I just couldn't say no.  I hope you enjoy my card.  I created the flower by cutting various sizes out from the flower on the Paisley cartridge.

Tea-rific!!!

Hey there!  I am so excited to have so many new followers joining me!  If you are here for the FCCB Spring Fling click here!

Check out my "tea-rific" card I made for the challenge over at Stamping 411 LOVE the challenges those ladies have!  They are soooooo talented I love it!  Starting this week the challenges at 411 need to use all SU! products... so I had to do a little digging for this one but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  I do however, think I "need" a few more SU! goodies to play with these ladies :)  I hope you enjoy my card!  I love this set-- I remember seeing it in the catalog when it first debuted...and while I must confess today is the first it saw ink I think this set and I will be friends!  I did leave a little tag on the end of the punch-- a tip I picked up from the lovely and talented Diana Gibbs-- I wanna be her when I grow up!

I heart Amuse!

Hope this post finds you all doing well today.  I am hoping the nasty weather that is happening all around doesn't afftect my little world here in MN.  Sending lots of thoughts and prayers out to the people affected in Japan and to friends and families of those folks all around the world.  Our godson lives in Hawaii with his parents and all is well witth them so that definitely makes me feel so much better knowing they are safe and sound!

A simple little card for you all today-- a set of cards actually.  Like I had stated in an earlier post I love Amuse and their products rock my socks off!  So I made a simple set of anniversary cards from one of my Amuse cuties.  They are having a huge sale right now so I'd stop by and check it out if I were you!   These are super simple-- I punched some circle, stamped my image used my Aqua painters and that was about it!

Recipe:
Paper: SU, Red Riding Hood, Elegant Eggplant and Night of Navy and some random white
Ink: same as colors above + Stazon
Punches: Marvy Punches Circle and Scallop
Stamp: Amuse for the couple, sentiment SU!

Thanks A Melon

I had to play with my Simply Charmed cartridge---I'm not completely sure I love all the faces but I'm hoping once I get my Gypsy I will be able to omit the faces completely!  I do love many of the options on this cartridge.  This card was one I created for ABC Challenge and Cricut Cardz Challenge.  The theme for the ABC Challenge is P is for Pearl-- I love using pearls on my cards!  And the Challenge at Cricut Cardz was to make a tall card... I decided to make a long card :)

I used my stamps from My Pink Stamper again tonight and I LOVE how this card came together.  I did cut it a little bit so I did have to chop off some of the top of my watermelon-- oh well nothing a little scissors couldn't handle.

I must say I love the idea I had when it came to determining the background for my oval-- I was planning to use a scallop oval but it didn't look right so I was digging around and the piece left over from the red cut of the watermelon was perfect!!  So I trimmed it off of the full sheet and viola!

A tired owl!

Good Evening Everyone!  I hope this post finds you all well and enjoying the evening.  I can't believe how cold it was here in MN today :( Such a disappointment as it had been so nice here...there's even talk about snow...soooo not impressed by those words.  Tonight of course I decided it was time to do yet another challenge this one was to use one of my feathered friends...so I picked an owl I had not used yet...but alas it was from my Create-A-Critter cartridge.  I used all random scraps of paper that I had lying around... I think all of it is from Die Cuts with a view.  The challenge can be found at Robin at My Pink Stamper--my HERO!  I promise I did use another cartridge tonight!!!  I just haven't put that card together yet :)   This owl kind of looks like I feel... tired and wore out!

Paper: Die Cuts with a View...the base card is SU! Tempting Turquoise
Stamp: My Pink Stamper
