A Splash of Color

Happy Monday...ahhhh it's Monday...so that means it's time for another FCCB challenge!  I know you are as excited as I am for this challenge!  The challenge today is to showcase a splash of color...so we are asking that you create a card or a project using the color yellow.  I had NO idea that I rarely if ever use yellow and this was most certainly a challenge for me.

I used my Pack Your Bags cart to cut out the sun and then decided the sun needed a smiley face so I pulled out my Peachy Keen Stamps for a little face.  I used most Stampin' Up paper but the checked yellow and white is from Hobby Lobby.  The ribbon is from the $ Tree and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Sun Kissed stamp set.

I hope you decide to join us!  Please link up your project and don't forget to include atleast one cricut cut!

Relax...

Ahhh how I wish this weekend was more relaxing.  I hoping that next weekend will be!  Things have been busy here and my crafting has fallen to the side and that makes me sad :(  I did see that they were having another challenge at Cricut 360 and the theme is "Relax."  Soooo of course I had to play...you know me I love a good challenge.

I used a new cartridge "Father's Day" a seasonal cartridge..more of a solutions cart if you ask me.  There are a few imagines and not a lot of details, however I really like how it turned out.

Loads of Love...

Love this new stamp!  My super creative, talented and generous friend Jen sent me this cutie!  It arrived in the mail today and I just couldn't resist inking it up.  I again used some watercolor paper and did some watercoloring with my aqua painter.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out.  And you will also notice...no twine was injured in making this card :)  I wish I was a super photographer...that way I could capture the sparkly pen I used on the iron--lots so fun in real life!

Yep today is a two-cup day that's certain...no question about it!  I haven't stamped an imagine in soooo long but this little guy was calling out to me to be inked up.  I am embarassed to admit I've had these two stamps for quite awhile...and ummmm *cough* this is the first they have seen ink.  YIKES!

I do hope you enjoy it.  I love the little bunny slippers-- they were just screaming to have some flocking added to them so I did!  I did a little watercoloring and some paper piecing too.  And of course had to add some twine!

I'm Back!

Finally I am back to the crafting and blogging world!  Thank goodness.  I have been insanely busy at work and I am hoping now that things will slowly settle down I can craft a bit more.  I had to enter another challenge of course...and as you can see this just about sums up about what I would think about going back to school!  Ha!  I don't think I could go back...my graduate work was more than enough for me.  But here's hoping that all of the kiddies out there who are heading back to school are looking forward to it way more than I would be :)

I used one of my favorite carts of late for this card-- Chore Chart.  Who would have thought me...someone who doesn't enjoy chores would love this cart so much.  I will be entering this card in a couple of challenges:  Cricut 360  and Creative Cutter Room

I used my Sweet Treats cartridge for this card-- haven't used that cart in a loooooong time!  I used my MS punch and of course some twine!  And I had to use my Scrappy Moms stamps for the sentiment-- I mean seriously...I think I might be in love with SMS :)  Love em!  So super cute.  But you know me I am often having a love affair with soooooo many different stamps and twine and oh the list goes on and on and on....

Yee Haw!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  I hope you enjoy the card I have created for today-- can you believe it no twine was cut for this card!  Shocking right?!?! :)  I am entering this into the challenge at Cricut 360 and the challenge this week is the "Old West."  The Old West...hmmmm this was super tough for me.  I actually had to go out and purchase a sheet of paper that had any sort of a western theme to it---I knew somewhere in my stash I had something but I didn't have time to "dig."

I am still loving this cartridge-- I don't even like birds...but there are so many hilarious birds on this cartridge I just can't get over it!  I hope you all have a great Sunday!  See you tomorrow.

Bots of Fun!

Hope your Thursday has been bots of fun :)  haha!  My Thursday has been insanely busy and the next few days will likely continue to be as tiring and long.  Oy!

I hope you enjoy my card for the day-- love the robot I cute out-- just using one layer-- and he still turned out pretty cute.  The eyes of course were needed and twine...ya just can't make a card without twine.  I love the paper I used...the flip side is actually robots--which triggered me to think I needed to make a robot.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms and love how it looks with this card :)

The Best Ship of All...

Happy Tuesday blogging friends!  Oh how I wish I could stamp on my lunch break everyday!  Ahhh maybe one day that dream will come true.  I had to play with the others over at Scrappy Moms! and today for the Terrific Tuesday challenge is to use the Pack Your Bags cartridge!  I love this cart!  So I was happy to pull it out to use for this challenge.  I of course had to add a cute sentiment to complete this card--it's from Scrappy Moms--love it!  Hope you do too.

I used mostly random papers from my stash.  The solid paper is almost all SU but the bright yellowish orange color is from one of those random paper stacks from M's-- I was sharing with a friend that I just had to find some paper to match the bright yellow colored twine from The Twinery--looks like I might have been successful J--let me check my stash :)  And the cute blue DSP is from creative memories.

Bug Me Anytime!

Good Morning friends!  It's Monday again....crazy I know...where oh where did the weekend go?  I can't believe how quickly it was here and then gone again.  But because it's Monday that means it's time for another Challenge with my friends over at FCCB.  The challenge we are having this week is to get buggy!!  We hope that you will join in the fun.  We ask that your project contains atleast one cut from your Cricut and for this challenge that it has a bug on it :)  So pull out all of your cartridges and find a bug and join us!!

For my card I again used my Campin' Critters cartridge--sooo many fun cuts!  I really am enjoying this cartridge.  I hope you like my card.  I can't believe I didn't include any twine... I did include a pun so that should make up for the lack of twine :)   Sorry about the weird photo and the crazy shadows--no idea what I did wrong.  Perhaps I had my camera settings off...sorry!!  Hope you like it anyway!

Ahhhhh Refreshing....

We had a great relaxing time with some friends a bit ago and we enjoyed lounging at the lake home and tubing in the lake.  Ahhhhh but the sun was a bit rough on me....good thing I put on some sunscreen to avoid being as red as a lobster--though a couple parts of my body didn't appear to enjoy the sunscreen and I was a bit crispy!  This was the card we sent to them to say thank you...the little tag says "thanks so much."  They loved the card :)

I still can't believe I had to have the Campin' Critters cartridge...but I am so in love with it.  It has so many great cuts :)  Yikes...I don't camp but I shall camp vicariously through this cartridge :)  I have decided to enter this to the Cricut 360 challenge for the week-- I love me a good challenge!
