Slooooooow Down Speed Racer....

This card design kept me up alllll night last night.  My bestie just recently moved to Kansas and yesterday she was pulled over for speeding...and I'm sure in her fabulous fashion managed to talk her way into getting only a warning versus a ticket!  But I really love how this card turned out.  I wasn't sure about creating the shape but I think it turned out cute.  This was one of the very few cuts I have made with this cartridge and I think it has a lot of fun cuts!  I might have to spend some more time with it!  I have also decided I must purchase some more twine...I'm getting tired of using the yellow, black and red that I have.  I do fear however if I buy some it will appear on each and every single one of my cards :)  Well, I hope you all have a fabulous evening!

FCCB Challenge #66: Happy 4th!

It's time for another challenge at FCCB and today we are celebrating the 4th of July which is right around the corner :)  I had a good time putting this card together but alas I am being way too hard on myself!  I had intended to leave the words white with some inked edges...well my sponge had other ideas and I ended up covering the whole thing versus just the edges.  I used Designer's Calendar for this card and I really like the font for this.  I LOVE, LOVE the punch I used.  It is from M's and is part of the American Girl collection...while I don't enjoy the AG collection (shhhhh I don't mean to be mean but those doll kinda creep me out!!)  I LOVE this punch!  Oh and did I mention it was on clearance?!?! :)

Eye Miss Crafting!

It's true.  I miss crafting!  So I created this little frog with some HUGE eyes.  It just cracks me up.  I found the idea to use the big googlie eyes at the OWH blog!  They are always posting some super fun ideas and well...I love my Create-A-Critter so I decided I had to use this cartridge yet again!  I hope you enjoy :)  I feel like a little something is missing but I'm not exactly sure what.  I didn't want to take away from the fun eyes!!

Starburst!

On the OWH Stars and Stamps Blog I saw an awesome tutorial to make this fun starburst design on your card using designer paper.  Loved how this card turned out and the tutorial is very easy to follow.  I highly recommend that you try it.  I have no idea what the brand of DSP is that I used for this card.  I do know it was once a 12x12 sheet and was in the batch of papers I cut down to 6x6 pieces to be used for card making.  I wish I would have done a better job of keeping track of my paper manufacturers.

Summa!  Summer is here.  I have missed my crafting oh so much.  I have been on the road quite a bit lately.  I just returned home from some meetings in Kansas...hmmm it's hot in Kansas...well a different hot as I've been told :)  It was a great time.  I had a fabulous time with some of my co-workers.  It's Monday...and Monday means that it is time for a fantabulous challenge!  Please stop over at FCCB and join us for this weeks challenge.  The challenge this week we will be celebrating the summer sun!  So create a card or a project that incorporates the summer sun!  Please remember to include atleast one Cricut cut.

I miss my blog friends!!

Oh my poor neglected blog and blogfriends!  I have been away for work and have NOT had time to craft.  Oh how I have missed my blog and cricut and stamps and inks...and so on and so forth!  I pull out my good ole favorite cartridge and whipped this card up!  I hope you love it :)  I've missed you all!
