Jen and Sarah's Challenge! Fun Folds

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you're having a wonderful day....yikes I can't believe it's almost March--wow where oh where did February go?  I am so glad you've joined me for my blogging challenge with my crafty friend Jen--she's super talented so don't forget to stop over and check out her challenge card!

This challenge was selected by Jen and it's a fun one.  She asked that we create a card with a fun fold and make it a kids card.  Well I decided to pull out my scor-pal and create a gate fold card--why don't I do more of these...super easy and fun!  But I did have some more Sesame Street friends on my table so I decided to use them on my cards!  I have a Big Bird and Oscar to add to cards yet...so stay tuned.

Mmmmmm Ice Cream!

I love me some ice cream... but it does NOT love me.  I will usually limit how much of it I eat but when a DQ cake calls my name I sometimes just have to answer!!  So my fabulous DH picked me some up! Yummy!  So this owl card was inspired by my love of ice cream and of course the love of my DH--only weren't not owls and probably would each have our own cone :)  I love this stamp that you can order from my fabulous friend Heather at Fresh Brewed Designs and it's a digi-- make it big make it small... oh so fun!

I also had to create this birthday card for you all today using a new embossing folder from my bestie-- it was part of my awesome Christmas package--- gotta love when your friends shower you with crafting items!

CardzTV Challenge!!

Hello everyone!  It's time for a fabulous challenge with my design team friends at CardzTV.  This week we are on Challenge #25 and it's all about the "Luck of the Irish."  We would love for you to join us and create a card, layout or craft project using stamped, digital or electronically cut Shamrocks or Leprechauns!  Super fun right!  The challenge starts today and ends on Thursday, March 7 at noon EST!  And the best part is there is an awesome prize--who wouldn't love a brand new set of Cardz TV Stamps to add to their collection!

You Make Me Giggle: OWH VCMP Challenge #3

Me again my crafty friends... I keep making cards and then deciding that I should post it right away to my blog so I don't forget :)  Hope you've enjoyed my evening of card making!  I have been having a blast with the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party!  I am on challenge #3 and this challenge is texture omit/selective embossing-- I thought way too hard and long about this card and then remembered I had an embossing folder that omitted a section for me... yippppppeeee!  And seriously how had I not paired this sentiment with Elmo before!?!?!    Enjoy

Sending You Big Bear Hugs! OWH Challenge #2 and Sketch Challenge #160

Hi again my crafty friends!  I am in love....yep...in love with the new sketch at Operation Write Home.  I have NO idea why I am so drawn to this sketch but I can see soooooooo many cards in my future using this awesome sketch!

I created this card for the 2nd challenge at Operation Write Home for the Virtual Card Making Party and I had to use the new sketch...ummmm hellooooo did I mention I love it...oh yeah I should be quiet I did already mention that! So anywhooo the 2nd challenge theme is "All creatures great and small: cards for kids" and I think this little bear will be perfect!

Missing You--OWH VCMP Challenge #1

Oh how I've been missing my crafting but I have been so busy with so many other things that the fun stuff hasn't been put to the side and I've been trying to pack up our apartment-- icky I hate packing... I have decided that my items multiple over night!  I'm scared to tackle the crafty space-- but then again I might be okay if some of my stuff has been has created a friend :)

I love a good virtual card making party and I was sad to miss out on the one this weekend with all of the talented Operation Write Home crafters!  I started with challenge #1 and hope to finish up all of them soon!  I have until the 25th to link up my cards!  Wish me luck!  So challenge #1 is all about zigging and zagging so I pulled out some chevron paper and added a super cute digi from Fresh Brewed Designs and a great sentiment from Cardz TV Stamps: It's All About You.

It's time for another awesome challenge with my super crafty friend Jen!  This month for the first challenge I decided it would be love... and also a color challenge!  We were to use black, white and red.  I didn't know how to incorporate the red so I cheated a little and I didn't add it!

Yes, friends it was definitely a challenge this week for the OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge.  The challenge this week is to use the colors from your state's flag on the card-- yikes! Here's the MN flag....

 This was a tough one for me.  So what do you think?  With or without the sentiment?  I am leaning towards without but can't decide...

Got Hockey?!?

Hey crafty friends!  I decided to pull out the stickles and join the anything goes challenge at the new fun blog I found All That Stickles!  I am going to Omaha this weekend for some hockey and it will be played outside-- so looking forward to spending it with some of our best friends and having a blast.  This card will be used to hold a gift card for the friends we will be staying at--better yet crashing at their house!

Hello my crafty friends hope you are having a wonderful weekend-- I am a little bit sad it's Sunday as that signals the end of the weekend :(  Sad day-- I'm just not ready to head back to work tomorrow!  I did find some time this weekend to create a few cards for my OWH box and this card fits the brand new OWH Sketch Challenge #158 and also will be linked up for the OWH ODBD February Challenge-- they are having a fruity challenge!

I found this great cut for strawberries at Miss Kate Cuttables---I am in love with her cuts-- so super stinkin' adorable!  Perfect for a newbie like me!  And to make it even better-- the red paper I used is from a Christmas stack-- need to get my paper used up so I can get fresh stuff :)

OWH Blog Skip: Cards with Critters!

Hello my OWH friends!  I am so glad you could join me for this super fun Groundhog's day Skip!  We are all about critters today and I can't wait to share with you what I created!  If you are joining me from the talented Nancy than you are in the right place!  If you would like to start at the beginning stop on over at OWH Stars and Stamps Blog and you will be right at the start of the skip.

I hope you enjoy my cards.  For the first one I used the fabulous Operation Write Home Sketch #152-- it was definitely a challenge for me!  I took a couple of liberties and added my own sentiment to it!  I think now I should have perhaps used a white scallop--it gets a bit lost but this baby is glued down!

For my second card I didn't use a sketch-- just kept it super simple so the die cut would pop and the sentiment would really make the card-- which I definitely think it does!  Please stop on over to the lovely and talented Mary Anne's as she is the next stop on the skip!

Eeek!  I just picked up this box cut along with a few others that I will share later in the month from My Scrap Chick it's soooo cute!  And came together super easy. I had to have it and wait until you see my chic paver box--sooo adorable!
