OWH Sketch Challenge #72

I'm a little behind in posting but I did create this card for a challenge I found over at Operation Write Home my box to be sent off is slowly starting to grow :)  I really liked this challenge and I encourage you if you've not stopped to check out what OWH is you really should! But only if you want to of course--no pressure.

I do love this little tree cut from Create-A-Critter and the sentiment is from a set of My Pink Stamper stamps and it's heat embossed but it didn't show up in the picture at all.  Hope you enjoy it!

Oh Boy!

Ahhh how I love a good challenge.  This card today is for the Color Challenge over at My Pink Stamper   The challenge was to use the colors, Orange, Turquoise and Green.  And I am liking how it turned out.  I do think I need to find a friend with an awesome camera to take some great pictures for me!  But alas my little point and shoot will just have to do :)  I will be sending this off to my husbands cousin who just had a baby boy!  Enjoy!  Oh and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Baby Steps cartridge!!!  Super cute!

FCCB Challenge Me Monday

Ahhh I can't believe it's Monday again...seems like the weekend just flew by.  I hope you are all having a great Monday.  Today the challenge over at FCCB! is "#1 Dad!"  So the task has been set forth to make a card for Dad showing him that he's #1!  This was a tough challenge for me and I know NO idea why!  I knew I wanted to use this specific background paper and after doing about 10 different cuts this is the one I decided on.  I love it and hope you do too!

All of us at FCCB are looking forward to your projects!  Please join us :)

Swimsuit Contest Entry!

My little bird today is chillin' by the pool!  He's got his inner tube on and his little flippers--he's ready for the waves.  I am entering him in a swimsuit contest...errr I mean a challenge.  Barb at BugBites is having the 2nd part of her grillin' and chillin' challenge and this is what I came up with!  I used all paper and goodies from American Crafts-- it was from a package I picked up at Marshalls a bit ago for just a few dollars.  The little bug is a sticker from my random stash of stickers and part of the challenge was to add a bug/critter we found while on the Bug Hop!  I just received this cartridge and I think I might be in love!!!

My Boyfriend Ralph!

Ahhhhh I just had to ink up this little old man.  I've had him for quite some time and he was just crying to be inked.  He is from RubberNecker Stamp Company and I think he's hilarious!  He and my girlfriend Ethel should probably get together :)  He was just screaming to have some gray hair and an eyebrow...and well I took some extra liberties and decided that perhaps he had some extra back hair growing in.

Ahhh flocking how I love you!  It's soooooo easy and just adds so much!  A little glossy accents was added to his eye glass frame--looks a little murky but in real life it looks like glass.   I hope you enjoy!

Helloooooo Baby!

Now I'm sure all of you are saying "Hellooooo Baby" and have that crazy song stuck in your head and your dreaming about the "Big Bopper."  Or not.... :)  I decided to do another challenge and this was was to use the New Arrival cricut cartridge.  This challenege is over at More Than Favors

A friend had mentioned she needed a baby card so of course I decided I couldn't allow her to pick one up at the store so I made her one instead.  Hmmmm perhaps I will have to start charging her :) Hehe!  JK

I used the New Arrival cartridge to cut out the little onesie.  The pink paper is SU and the designer paper I used is from DCWV one of the many stacks that I have sitting in my craft space.  I used a white gel pen to do some highlighting and I think it turned out pretty cute.  The sentiment is also from SU!  I also used my fisker threading water punch and some random ribbon I had lying around to tie the card together.  I hope you enjoy!

I'm Soooooo Berry Happy!

I am soooo happy with how this card turned out-- I had been worried that I lost my touch with stamping...but I think I've still got it!  Well I've still got room to improve to of course but I think you get what I mean.  So my friend  Jen got me hooked on Unity Stamps-- I blame her for my last few stamp purchases!  Oh dear I know I showed you the super cute tree that I almost had to leg wrestle my friend Sarah for but I was dying to get my hands on this little strawberry.  So it appeared in the mail the other day along with some cutie friends but I had to ink this little one up!!  I am sooooo tickled with how it turned out.  I had been wanting to do something with embossing powder so I used the "Cracked Glass" technique--it's super easy and turned out really cute I think!  There's a great tutorial at Splitcoaststampers

Again I'm still raving over this little strawberry!  I used the sketch from a challenge I found at OWH Stars and Stamps--it's my goal to get some cards in the mail to help them reach 2 million cards!  Check them out if you don't know about their fabulous organization!  I also plan to use this card as an entry for the Unity challenge which was to incorporate food into the card!
